Used in the Sex in the City scene where Carrie meets Aleksandr's ex. Quite fancy. Full of posers. Go to the club too early and it will still smell of fish from the Asian Fusion restaurant. I love it.
Full of posers. Love it. On the roof of the Cité de la Mode et du Design. Horribly exclusive. Arrive early for good seats.
Horribly exclusive #2. Don't even try going after work, rude door staff who only let in their "regulars". Go on a Sunday afternoon at 3.45pm. Opens at 4, flash your brightest smile and don't ask, but tell the doorman you're going up to the bar. Take the lift with confidence to the 7th floor as there are no signs. AMAZING views across Paris.
Free entry. Classy night club. Expect to pay 18€ for a Vodka Redbull. Looks awful on the outside. Walk through the corridor and you'll feel like you're in somebody's country manor.
Le Ballroom du Beef Club
My top secret favourite underground bar in Paris. Feels very Prohibition-era speak easy. Only accessible from a black door on the street. Again, tell the doorman confidently that "on est deux/trois/quatre" etc (there's two/three/four of us) with your biggest smile.
Impressive nightclub underneath my favourite bridge in Paris, Pont Alexandre III. Parisians hate it, foreigners love it.
If you're bored of Parisian glamour and feel the need to be transported to Magaluf for the night, here's your place. Happy hour all the time. Great for bar crawling.
My happy place. Full of hipsters, by the Seine. Little bit far out, but totally worth it in the Summer nights.
Also full of hipsters. Bit too underground for me. Occasional DJ worth seeing. Indoor smoking room = hell on earth.
Free night time arts festival held usually in October. Ever fancied a night at the museum? Now's your chance!
Bit different, in the 19th Arrondissement so pretty far out. Good for an alternative night out.
Also pretty far out but does a great jazz swing night. Has a really lovely terrasse, perfect during the day and at night.
Was once a cabaret, nice to sit in and watch the world go by. Cheap pints. Not far from Buttes Chaumont.
Great for when you're feeling homesick and need a pub. More Slug & Lettuce style than your local back home. Personal favourite is The Frog & Princess on Rue Princesse (Metro Mabillon Line 10). Do a great selection of beers, try Parislytic purely for the name alone.
Do a Happy Hour for women so cheap it must be illegal. Love it. Good tapas. Strong cocktails.
